Monday's momma-inspo comes from Zoë de Pass a.k.a DRESS LIKE A MUM. Dedicated to redefining mum-style, indeed, to wiping the term out all together ("There's style and there is no style"), Zoë's dedication to documenting her outfit everyday and posting in online has inspired Momma's everywhere to keep experimenting with their style and to keep trying new things. Motherhood and style are not mutually exclusive...

As well as DRESS LIKE A MUM Zoë is a freelance stylist and maternity and nursing wear consultant.   She is also a Brand Strategist - working with brands on Social Media strategies, marketing to and understanding modern parents, brand positioning and SWOT analysis. To get in touch with Zoe just drop her a line at hello@dresslikeamum.com

Zoe is a momma to Art & Elfie.

WHAT IS // DRESS LIKE A MUM:

DRESS LIKE A MUM started as a campaign to change the bad reputation of mum dressing.  At the moment it is an Instagram feed (@dresslikeamum) and website that gives women/mums easy, wearable breastfeeding friendly outfit ideas and shopping tips.

HOW DID // DRESS LIKE A MUM COME TO BE?

I started the DRESS LIKE A MUM campaign as I kept receiving remarks and comments such as, "You don't look like a mum" and "You don't dress like a mum" and it made me think about if these were compliments or not and if not why not, what was a mum supposed to look like and why wasn't it me?
Mums are short of time/ always busy so often don't have much spare time to think about what they are going to wear everyday. DRESS LIKE A MUM is a place that women/mums can have a look at to get quick, practical, fashionable, easy to wear outfit ideas - most of which are breast-feeding friendly.
Mums are a miss-understood demographic - so many assumptions are made about us - like we are no longer fashionable or have any interest in clothes while we are pregnant, breastfeeding and then become mothers.  I (with the help of all the stylish mums out there and the hashtag dresslikeamum) want to prove this isn't the case. I want to work with brands to improve the high street's maternity and nursing ranges and to help them understand and cater for us better.

BEST THING // ABOUT being dress like a mum?

The positive influence and inspiration I'm having on ladies outfits and that people are enjoying it. Also it gets me to wear an outfit I'm happy to share everyday.

WHO WHAT // INSPIRES YOU?

Positive, motivated people who are not afraid to put themselves out there.  And all the cool, motivated mums I've meet at Mothers Meetings and through Instagram who are doing their thing - if we can do it, I can do it - you can do it.  Just do it!
